First job outside of real estate: I’ve worked in architecture and real estate for 20 years but my first job was as a summer ranch hand during high school.
First job in real estate or allied field: For a developer in Austin, TX converting office buildings into residential lofts.
What do you do now and what are you planning for the future? I oversee design and construction of our development projects. We’re developing several projects in Brooklyn and continue to see a tremendous amount of opportunity in the borough and surrounding areas.
How do you unwind from a busy day in real estate? I’m a big tennis and basketball nut and always look to play when I can.
Favorite book or author: I often find myself reading science fiction and non-fiction.
Favorite movie: Adaptation is near the top of my list.
Last song you purchased/downloaded? I mainly stream music but I’ve recently had Really Love by D’Angelo on repeat.
One word to describe your work environment: Productive
Rules to live by in business: Be rigorous and always demand the highest quality.
If you could invite one person to dinner (living or dead, but not related to you) who would it be and where would you go? I’ve always wanted to be invited to one of Obama’s private poker games. I’d order dinner from Lucali Pizza in Brooklyn.
What is your DREAM job? (something other than your current job): In an alternate life I could see myself making large scale art installations out of my workshop in Brooklyn.
