First job in security or allied field: Prior to starting A+, I ran Eagle Transfer which managed over 750,000 s/f of storage in lower Manhattan. In addition to providing services to high profile Wall St. firms we provided transportation, storage and packing of irreplaceable fine arts for many major museums in N.Y. This required very advanced technology and security solutions and prepared me for my career in technology and security at A+.
What do you do now and what are you planning for the future? I am CEO of three quickly growing, fast paced companies that provide a.) converged system integration services (A+), b.) physical security software development (IPVideo Corp.) and c.) instructional technology for K-12 and higher education (A+ Mobile Solutions). The three companies are changing people’s lives by making facilities and staff safer as well as introducing young students to Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) which will help the U.S. to graduate more scientists and engineers to stay competitive in world markets. Our plans for the future are continued double digit growth.
How do you unwind from a busy day in security? Although I work a serious number of hours per week, I do find time for boating. After a tough day at work a quick sunset cruise puts everything back in perspective.
Favorite book or author: I don’t get to read books very often but enjoy numerous magazines to keep up with things.
