Albany, NY The New York State Association of Realtors honored Dawn Carpenter of Staten Island with its 2018 Lawrence Caldwell RPAC Service Award, the highest honor presented by the Realtors Political Action Committee of NY. She received the award during the association’s Mid-Winter Business Meetings.
Carpenter, a Realtor for more than 20 years is the broker-owner of Dawning Real Estate in Staten Island. Carpenter is a past president of the Staten Island Board of Realtors (SIBOR) and chair of the Staten Island Multiple Listing Service. She was recognized as SIBOR’s REALTOR of the Year in 2008. She also holds memberships in the Brooklyn board, Columbia-Greene board and Greater Capital association.
At the state level, Carpenter served as NYSAR President (2017), chaired the Realtors Political Action Committee (RPAC) Trustees and the Organizational Planning Committee. She has served on the NYSAR Board of Directors and executive committee for many years and was named NYSAR’s REALTOR of the Year in 2011.
At the national level, Carpenter serves as a NAR director, member of the Commercial Committee and Federal Technology Policy Advisory Board. Chair of the Property Management Forum, Vice chair of the Large Commercial Firms Advisory Group, continues to serve on the Executive Committee of the Institute of Real Estate Management and currently serves as Federal Political Coordinator (2019-2020).
Carpenter was inducted into the prestigious NAR RPAC Hall of Fame in 2014 ($25,000 lifetime) and prior to that was inducted into the RPAC of NY Hall of Fame ($15,000 lifetime) in 2013. She has been an RPAC Major Investor ($1,000+) annually for 13 years and has been a Golden R & President’s Circle investor since 2010. Her lifetime financial support of RPAC totals over $44,000.
