Manhattan, NY Richard Kave, executive managing director, of Lee & Associates NYC has negotiated a ground-floor, 1,943 s/f lease at 1615 Second Ave., between 83rd and 84th Sts., for D is for Doggy, a full-service business for dogs which offers daycare, boarding, grooming, training and walking. The lease term is 12 years.
“One doesn’t have to walk around New York City for long to realize there are dogs everywhere,” said Kave, who represented both the tenant and the landlord, 84th & 2nd Avenue LLC. “New Yorkers want only the best for their pets, making doggie daycare a thriving business concept here. This new location of D is for Doggy will serve Yorkville residents, and their dogs, quite well.”
1615 Second Ave.will be the company’s fifth location in New York City. The space is conveniently situated across the street from the entrance to the Second Avenue subway (Q train) and only a few blocks from the 4, 5 and 6 trains. Surrounding retailers and restaurants include Bua Thai Ramen & Robata Grill, Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream, Dorian’s Grill, Hummus Kitchen and Two Boots Pizza. D is for Doggy is expected to open in early 2019.
