Brittany Zachos is bringing her interior design to the greater NYC area.
As the principal designer for the boutique interior design firm, Zachos Design Group, has utilized her talents to conceptualize and create spaces consisting of private residences, retail boutiques, and corporate offices in Westchester and Fairfield counties as well as Manhattan.
Unlike the average firm, the Zachos Design Group specializes in full interior design services featuring: concept development, space planning, 3D-renderings, selection of finishes and materials, custom millwork design, kitchen and bath design, project management for additions, renovations and remodels including construction documents and brand development.
"New York is one of the greatest design capitals of the world," said the graduate of Florida's Ringling College of Art and Design. "I wanted to immerse myself in the culture, architecture and other opportunities only available here".
Zachos has previously graced the Longboat Key, Sarasota, and Ana Maria Island communities with her timeless and sophisticated design aesthetic. Also having been already featured in top publications such as the Sarasota Herald-Tribune and Sarasota Magazine, Zachos' style transcends whether she is redesigning a beachfront property or a cozy home in affluent Westchester County.
Her creative eye and innate talent for interior design is evident through her immense passion for both the industry and her clients.
"My inspiration comes first through the client," Zachos said. "I always like to see how they interact with the space, what their personality is, and then I expand from there. Sometimes it's the architecture, a furniture piece or even the client's shirt!"
Along the way, the passionate Zachos has amassed a loyal client base in Westchester County towns, including Rye, Armonk, White Plains, Mt. Kisco, Stamford, Pleasantville, Scarsdale, Eastchester, and Montrose, with whom she has collaborated to build commercial and residential spaces. She has even developed the interior of an Upper East Side children's boutique through visual merchandising and front window displays in Manhattan where she also designed a luxury studio and two-bedroom apartment earlier this year.
Additionally, Zachos has had several clients move from New York City to Westchester and have sought her services to aid in the remodeling of their homes. For example, the Zachos Design Group is currently in talks to design a luxurious five-bedroom waterfront home for one client.
"There is more of a creative freedom here," Zachos said of New York's artistic landscape. "The styles range from ultra-modern to rustic cottage escapes."
Currently, the Zachos Design Group is also slated to work alongside builder David Mann of Lighthouse Enterprises on projects throughout Westchester County. For the ultra-luxe Apuovia condominium community that will soon debut in White Plains, the renderings she has already completed will pave the way for the model homes and 30-50 units she has been asked to design in the coming months.
Zachos has also proved that historic spaces can be modernized while preserving their old-world beauty with only a minor few adjustments. In the Rye cottage she worked on this year, for example, she paired warm blue hues with polished finishes to highlight the natural sunlight that shone through the home's front windows.
With an undeniably chic, modern, and classic design aesthetic, the Zachos Design Group is set to transform dull and lifeless spaces into lively and stylish environments.
