Manhattan, NY James Famularo and Ben Biberaj of Meridian Retail Leasing, the retail leasing division of Meridian Capital Group, have arranged a long-term lease for Don Pedro’s restaurant at 505 Columbus Ave. in the Upper West Side. President of New York retail leasing, Famularo, and director, Biberaj, represented the landlord and the tenant.

Located on Columbus Avenue between West 84th and West 85th Sts., 505 Columbus Ave. spans 3,000 s/f with an additional 3,000 s/f on a selling lower level. The property, which was home to Greek restaurant Kefi for more than a decade, features 13’ ceiling sand seats 199. Don Pedro’s is expected to open in the first quarter of 2019. 505 Columbus Avenue benefits from its location on a prominent restaurant block, surrounded by local eateries such as Prohibition, Blossom, Cotta, Good Enough to Eat, Joe Coffee Company, Jacob’s Pickles, and Viand Café, which Biberaj also represented when they moved into their location at 2130 Broadway. The space is just one block from Central Park and offers convenient access to the 1, B, and C subway trains at 86th Street.

Situated between Central Park and Riverside, Manhattan’s Upper West Side neighborhood features popular attractions such as the American Museum of Natural History and Lincoln Center in addition to relaxed restaurants and a lively bar scene. The neighborhood is one of the greenest in New York City.

“Don Pedro’s will complement this popular restaurant corridor with its unique menu and ambiance,” said Mr. Biberaj. “The restaurant is a natural fit for the space as there is a void for this type of cuisine in the Upper West Side close to the American Museum of Natural History and Lincoln Center,” said Famularo.
