RKT&B begins construction on $6.8 million project in Brooklyn

Construction has begun on a three-story firehouse for Engine Company 201 in Sunset Park, Brooklyn - one of the first to be built under the auspices of the Design Excellence Program of the New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC), according to Carmi Bee, FAIA, president of RKT&B Architects, the project's architect.
The $6.8 million, 17,000 s/f firehouse is being built on the lot of a recently demolished two-story firehouse, located at 5113 Fourth Ave.

Consulting and technical services firm Stroz Friedberg has expanded from 15 Maiden Lane in Downtown Manhattan to a 30,000 s/f office and laboratory suite designed by interior architecture firm MKDA at 32 Avenue of the Americas. Stroz Friedberg, which specializes in digital forensics, electronic discovery and private investigations in addition to data breach and cyber-crime response, will use the space as its New York office and corporate headquarters, according to MKDA.
