Zere Real Estate Services has been in the commercial real estate market place since 1980 and is one of Long Island's most respected commercial real estate firms. Marie Zere, president & CEO, has been on the cutting edge of the changing technologies and new innovations effecting the commercial real estate industry with a focus on economic development in the 1980's, long before the trend. Now Marie Zere is championing the quest for solar installations throughout Long Island and has been designated a New York State Women Business Enterprise (WBE) for solar installations throughout New York State.
Zere Real Estate Services has been selected by Nautilus Solar Energy to identify rooftops of business owners, municipalities, school districts and universities that are interested in taking advantage of governor Cuomo's mandated LIPA's Clean Solar Initiative Feed-In Tariff Program. Nautilus Solar Energy (NSE) is a portfolio company of Starwood Energy Group. NSE develops, finances, manages, owns and operates distributed generation and utility scale solar electric systems. Nautilus is considered a premier solar developer and was selected to receive multiple performance incentive awards for large-scale solar projects in New York State through governor Cuomo's NY-SUN initiative. Marie Zere also secured an exclusive to represent Silverado Power who purchases vacant land from property owners for solar farms.
"Working with solar companies is directly related to real estate and ties in nicely with our expertise and focus," said Marie Zere.
Her firm specializes in the sales and leasing of commercial, office, industrial, retail, land use and development in both Nassau and Suffolk Counties. National and international corporations have sought her brokerage expertise as a recognized economic development advocate for the Metro/Long Island region. Her three children are all highly experienced principals and hands on leaders in the company. Michael Zere, Michelle Marie Zere and David Zere all work together to create deals and are active in closing transactions. Zere Real Estate's largest exclusive listing is MacArthur Plaza at 4250 Veterans Highway in Holbrook. At 150,000 s/f, it is one of the largest office buildings on Long Island and in the top three in Suffolk County.
Always a pioneer in the commercial real estate business Marie Zere has studied economic development, planning, aerial maps, demographics, business and transportation hubs long before it became the latest thing to do so. With thousands of deals under her belt, her knowledge of the marketplace and her integrity, she has transformed the way commercial real estate is perceived by the business community on Long Island.
With her WBE certification her company Zere Real Estate is officially approved to look for partners who require the sales and leasing of industrial or office space, real estate development, real estate consultants, interior design of office interiors, and solar energy components - design and installations. Most public corporations as well as local, state, and federal government purchasing agencies have programs for allotting a certain percentage of business to women-owned companies. Getting certified as WBE can make the difference between landing that business or not.
