Broderick joins DLA Piper's finance practice as partner

According to DLA Piper, David Broderick has joined the firm's finance practice as a partner.
Broderick focuses on all aspects of real estate finance and the restructuring and workout of inter-creditor, co-lender and other capital markets structures. He acts as a transactional lawyer on complex debt and equity transactions, and maintains an active practice that includes all types of loan enforcement actions, bankruptcies, joint venture disputes, and lender liability issues. He has extensive involvement with defaulted mezzanine loans, Uniform Commercial Code foreclosure actions and other complex defaulted financing transactions, representing debt and equity holders at all levels of the capital structure.
He is also experienced in distressed debt transactions.
"David has a well-earned reputation as a sophisticated real estate finance and workout attorney on complicated transactions," said Jeffrey Steiner, global co-chair of DLA Piper's Finance practice. "His long-standing relationships with New York and national clients, as well as with a broad array of institutional clients and private real estate companies, will enhance the firm's overall finance platform."

Broderick joins DLA Piper from Latham & Watkins, where he was partner. He received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and his BSBA from the American University.
