What was the best thing that happened to you or your firm in 2014? / What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or personal achievement in 2014?
Premier Facility Management, while under contract with Metlife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ, assisted the staff to transform plastic beer bottles to aluminum. The aluminum bottles, after processing in PCS equipment, increased the rebate value 800%. Also, Premier installed a food waste composter that produces compost from food waste. The food packaging is slowly being changed to biodegradable to increase the volume. Currently, Metlife cut their trash cost while producing compost- to be applied to the Metlife grounds. This program followed parking lot recycling program that started in 2012.
What are you looking forward to accomplishing in 2015?
In 2015 Premier is looking forward to expanding our program full scale in N.Y.C. There is a tremendous need for sustainability programs that include maximizing waste reduction, and recycling material value while saving taxpayers in commercial waste removal cost.
What are some of your real estate predictions for 2015?
Residents that live in high rise apartments and condos are finally going to realize it takes more than buying organic soap to be sustainable.
