Joseph Capone, Total Fire Protection

What was the best thing that happened to you or your firm in 2014?
Total Fire Protection continued to grow and prosper, and we were able to invest time and effort into our favorite causes. The charity we support, Kids for Kids Foundation, raised tens of thousands of dollars for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. What makes me most proud is the way our employees have gotten on board with our commitment to social responsibility and giving back to the community.
What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or personal achievement in 2014?
Total Fire Protection inspected, maintained and serviced Fire Extinguishers for the Metropolitan Transit Authority and Long Island Rail Road at several locations. We are in the process of securing additional jobs for these agencies. Working with government agencies presents its own unique set of challenges, but we are proud to be making New York's transit infrastructure more fire safe.
What are you looking forward to accomplishing in 2015?
We will continue to support Kids for Kids Foundation, but we also want to tackle breast cancer. For the past two years we have sold fire extinguishers with pink tamper seals and donated a portion of the proceeds to the American Cancer Society. In 2015, we will be doubling our efforts and running a full-fledged campaign to help raise money to "Extinguish Breast Cancer."
What are some of your real estate predictions for 2015?
Real Estate prices in both the residential and business sector will continue to rise in response to job creation and robust economic growth.
