According to a recent study by the Associated General Contractors of America, 21% of those surveyed in New York State expect to purchase construction equipment valued at more than $5 million this year. To kick off this year's construction season, ADMAR Rochester invited construction professionals, landscapers, municipality representatives and do-it-yourselfers to dig into the company's latest suite of construction equipment products at a recent Construction Equipment Expo.
Held at ADMAR's Rochester location at 1950 Brighton-Henrietta Townline Rd., the expo offered attendees free, hands-on demonstrations led by experts from Kubota and ADMAR. Attendees also experienced the latest Wacker Neuson Track Loader, the first of its kind to make an appearance in the United States, and tested their equipment skills during an excavator challenge.
In addition, the event featured a safety exhibition area with an emphasis on the importance of digging safely. ADMAR's director of HSE and risk management, Mike Laboski, CSP, spoke with attendees about the company's support of Dig Safely New York, a statewide public awareness initiative aimed at preventing excavation-related damages to expanding underground infrastructure. The Dig Safely campaign is an ongoing priority of ADMAR, which provides education and materials to customers.
ADMAR hosts several expo, demo and educational events each year at its eight locations in New York State and Pennsylvania. For information about upcoming events, visit www.admarsupply.com.
