A Witkoff Group, Winthrop Realty Trust, New Valley LLC, Maefield Development and Ian Schrager Company joint venture announced today that it has named CBRE Group, Inc. the exclusive leasing agent for the 76,000 s/f retail component of its development at 20 Times Sq. on the northeast corner of Times Sq.'s bow-tie. The retail features 200 linear ft. of wraparound frontage at the corner of 47th St. and 7th Ave., a 25-ft.-tall glass storefront and flexible floor sizes ranging from 10,700 to 14,700 s/f.
The retail at 20 Times Sq. will be one component of a mixed-use development that will include the 452-guest room Times Sq. EDITION hotel and 40,000 square feet of flagship dining, entertainment and event space. In addition to the hotel and retail offerings, the project will feature a 120-ft.-tall, 18,000 s/f LED sign - one of the most technologically advanced billboards in the world and one of the largest in Times Sq.
A CBRE team led by Stephen Siegel, chairman of Global Brokerage; the Retail Group's Andrew Goldberg, vice chairman, and Susan Kurland, executive vice president, will oversee the leasing efforts.
"We are excited to be partnering with CBRE on the leasing of this remarkable retail space. The project will usher in a new era of merchandise offerings in Times Square - one of the most trafficked and successful shopping districts in the world," said Steven Witkoff, chairman and CEO of The Witkoff Group.
"We are honored to be working with The Witkoff Group and its partners to help promote an unparalleled retail opportunity in this iconic and peerless location," said Siegel. "A project of this scope and size is rare, and we are excited to help offer the millions of employees and travelers that come to Times Sq. an outstanding new retail option."
