According to Douglas Elliman Real Estate, top producer Clayton Orrigo has joined the company's number one ranked Eklund-Gomes team. Known for his rapid rise within the industry, Orrigo represents some of the finest properties in New York City. He has joined the Eklund-Gomes team, headed by Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes, and will help to shape and support the team's expanding new development business as well as continuing to grow his own resale brokerage. Orrigo comes to Elliman from TOWN Residential.
"We are thrilled to welcome Clayton to Douglas Elliman. He's one of the most stellar young stars in New York City real estate and he has a great future ahead of him with us," said Dottie Herman, president & CEO, Douglas Elliman.
"Clayton's fast track to success speaks to his great talent and ability to negotiate and connect buyers and sellers in a tight market. He has accomplished so much in a relatively short period of time and I look forward to having the Douglas Elliman team work with him as his business continues to grow," said Elliman chairman Howard Lorber.
With a background in business development, Orrigo has become one of the most sought-after agents in the city and currently represents $75 million dollars in listings, including a $27.9 million townhouse in Greenwich Village. Recently, both Orrigo and Eklund were selected to appear in a nationwide feature article "New Rockstars of Real Estate" by Details Magazine.
"I've had great success at TOWN, and although it has been an incredible platform where I have made many friends, it's time to take my business in another direction. Joining the number one team at New York's number one brokerage to help them build up their new development business is a tremendous opportunity and the next logical step for me," said Orrigo.
"We see so many futures for Clayton, and had been courting him to join us before he even got his license. With his unparalleled Rolodex, he will be supporting us in the dozen exciting new development projects we will be rolling out this year, and even on TV," said Eklund.
"Clayton is a bright rising star in the industry and one that Fredrik and I think will be a perfect fit in our universe," added Gomes.
Prior to real estate, Orrigo was Vice President of Development at Identified, a successful Silicon Valley venture-backed startup that was acquired by Workday (WDAY) earlier this month. Orrigo graduated with honors from Villanova University School of Business with a degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship. He currently sits on the Executive Committee of the Eric Trump Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children battling life-threatening or debilitating diseases.
