A.P. Construction Company, a construction management and general contracting firm, has marked 20 years of completing $100 million in healthcare construction projects.
Healthcare facility renovations continue to be on the rise and require expert management under intense and demanding conditions. A.P. Construction has completed work for some of the region's top-ranked hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Specializing in hospital renovations, outpatient care facilities, and special needs housing for the elderly, A.P. Construction has completed a diverse range of projects that include intensive care units, operating rooms, clinical laboratories, cardiovascular care units, central processing areas, and post anesthesia care units.
"A.P. Construction believes that successful healthcare projects require strong team work between the healthcare facilities, architects and contractors. We take pride in partnering and communicating with all involved from project inception through completion. This produces better quality projects that are completed faster and are more cost effective," said Nick Everett, executive VP of A.P. Construction.
In order to improve on their expertise, 15 of A.P. Construction's employees are now Certified Healthcare Constructors (CHC). This certification qualifies you as highly-capable and shows that you understand the attention to detail necessary for optimal patient care.
Over the past three years Stamford Hospital awarded A.P. Construction numerous projects for their internal departments and off-site facilities, including the demolition and renovations of two operating rooms. Most recently they competed a 20,000 s/f, $2.4 million renovation of the hospital's second floor that includes upgraded rooms utilizing smart room technology, second of its kind in the U.S., to improve medical staff interaction with patients.
"At Stamford Hospital we are lucky to work with several competent CM's. When working with AP Construction we are confident that their team has a big picture vision, that the environment they are building enhances the patient and staff experience. They are team players and their superintendents are specialists in working in any of the hospital environments," said Cathy Dolan, senior project manager, Stamford Hospital.
