Markowitz of Muss Development represents landlord in 4,426 s/f headquarters relocation

Muss Development LLC has arranged a ten-year, 4,426 s/f headquarters expansion and relocation for The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, which will lease space at the developer's Brooklyn Renaissance Plaza located at 335 Adams Street. The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, whose mission is to promote a healthy and robust business environment in Brooklyn, will be moving from its Elm Street space to the 27th floor of Brooklyn Renaissance Plaza in the second quarter. "The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce was looking for larger, high-end headquarters space, and Muss has always had a distinct presence in Downtown Brooklyn, with properties offering some of the borough's best accessibility and views," said Jason Muss, principal of Muss Development. "And with our active involvement in civic associations, and Brooklyn in general, the lease with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce was a unique way for us each to benefit." "Brooklyn is undergoing another remarkable evolution, with a growing and diverse concentration of businesses, retailers, residents, and educational centers," said Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce president and CEO, Carlo Scissura. "Muss Development is one of New York City's most respected landlords and has always been wonderfully supportive of Brooklyn. Their Renaissance Plaza is an ideal location for our new, expanded headquarters and we thank the entire Muss team for their help in this process." Stan Markowitz, of Muss, represented the landlord in the transaction. Brooklyn Renaissance Plaza is a 1.2 million s/f, 32-story mixed-use complex, which includes the NY Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, and is bounded by Jay, Adams, Willoughby, and Johnson Streets in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn, close to the Kings County courthouses and a short walk from the world-famous Brooklyn Heights Promenade overlooking the New York City harbor and skyline. It has superb access to public transportation, including multiple subway lines, and bus routes, major highways, and JFK and LaGuardia airports. Manhattan is just five minutes away by subway or car. The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce was represented in-house in the transaction.
