Peter Claman, AIA, managing partner of SLCE Architects, received the Jewish National Fund Tree of Life Award on Tuesday, September 23. The gala reception and dinner honoring Claman, held at The Grand Hyatt Hotel, was attended by 300 of Claman's colleagues and peers from New York's top real estate development and business circles along with family and friends.
Claman has received critical recognition as a recipient of the American Institute of Architects' Honor Award and the General Building Contactor of New York State's "Build New York Award" among others. A recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the N.Y. Society of Architects, Claman serves on the boards of the Citizens Housing and Planning Council, the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation and for 12 years as the chairman of the Lake Success Planning Board.
