Host your office holiday party with BMAR on December 4th

I think just about everyone is in need of one or more adult beverages with the roller coaster stock market, the economy, credit crunch and the soft real estate market. Just in time in advance of the holidays, the Bronx-Manhattan North Association of Realtors (BMAR) is hosting its 24th Annual Holiday Party on Thursday, December 4th, 2008 at the elegant Marina del Rey Caterers on the water's edge with an extraordinary view of both the Whitestone and Throgs Neck Bridges in the Bronx. This is an excellent opportunity to save money by hosting your company office party in conjunction with this event. The Annual Holiday Party features 4½ hours of superb buffet selections, drinks, non-stop music and entertainment, networking, recognition awards and fun. It is the perfect setting for you to be a host of one or more tables for your staff, business contacts and customers to celebrate the holiday season. Each reserved table of ten or more will have your company name on a table sign. Last year, 28 companies purchased one or more tables confirming that this format makes business sense and is a great way to save money. Treat your staff, customers and be a super star. Popularity of the networking events sponsored by this organization continues to grow as proven by the successful major annual events. "Over 500 members, friends and guests from throughout the New York metropolitan area attended the 2007 Holiday Party to renew old friendships, establish new business contacts or just have a good time," said Kathy Zamechansky, holiday party chairperson. Network for success is the slogan which best describes this professional trade association and it is reinforced with each successful event. "Reservations include 4 ½ hours of unlimited food, drinks, music and networking at a reasonable price which is a major attraction," said George Bookis, GRI, 2009 president. In keeping with the spirit of charity associated with the holiday season, the organization also collects unwrapped toys for abused or neglected children. "Donating Christmas and Chanukah gifts is a good way of making the spirit of the holiday season memorable to children less fortunate than our own." said Bookis. Hundreds of toys are donated by guests each year. Donations are also accepted for the purchase of additional toys. Last year, the gifts were delivered to Casita Maria; Beth Jacob-Beth Miriam School; and Saint Dominic's Home for Abused and Neglected Children. 50 coats were also donated by A & N 4-Sale Realty, LLC. As a bonus, each guest that brings an unwrapped toy or makes a donation of $10 or more will be entered to win a $500 gift certificate donated by Judicial Title Insurance Agency LLC. Especially in today's economy and real estate market, professionals and companies servicing the industry need to take advantage of the valuable programs services and networking opportunities available through BMAR. Do not let the organization's name mislead you. We service businesses and professionals wherever their office is located. Companies do not have to have an office in Manhattan or the Bronx to be active members of the association. Real estate licensees can also join regardless of the location of their office address. Even seasoned real estate professionals can benefit. I cannot ever imagine a successful business person thinking that they have enough business and do not need any more. BMAR's valuable programs or services are many and can be viewed on the Internet at: www.bmar.org. I continue to promote and expand our database which includes over 10,000 contacts throughout the New York metropolitan area. The membership is composed of a broad base of companies and professionals directly or indirectly servicing the real estate industry and business community including: licensed real estate brokers and agents; multi-dwelling property owners; building service vendors and suppliers; unlicensed property managers; attorneys; appraisers; banks; mortgage companies; fuel service and energy companies; title and abstract companies; insurance companies and insurance brokers; contractors and other companies. For more information on the upcoming holiday party, sponsorship or advertising opportunities contact Janine Schall at (718) 892-3000, (212) 242-4343 or email: [email protected]. Nunzio Del Greco, RCE, is the CEO of the Bronx-Manhattan North Association of Realtors, Bronx, N.Y.

The death of the generic offering memorandum: What buyers expect in 2025 - by Kimberly Zar Bloorian

There was a time when an offering memorandum (OM) was pretty bare bones, some photos, a few bullet points on income, and a rent roll thrown in at the back. That used to get the job done. Not anymore. In 2025, buyers are sharper, faster, and more selective. They’re looking

Tri-state capital migrates nationally amid regulation pressure - by Reese Weaver

New York tri-state multifamily investors are increasingly reallocating capital to less-regulated markets across the U.S. as rent control and legislative risk erode returns at home.
